Are there multiple versions of the dataset? If so, please indicate where they are located: METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: A total of 20 sites, totaling 293 specimens, were sampled for the AMS. Sites are homogeneously distributed (averagespacing between sites 50 m) in a NNW-SSE transect along the ridge of the intrusive body. Samples were obtained in the field with a gasoline-powered drill. Six to 10 cylindrical cores per site were obtained. Cores were oriented in situ with a magnetic or a solar compass and sampling localities were positioned with a GPS. Oriented cores were cut to 2.1 cm-long, 2.5 cm diameter standard cylinder specimens using a radial saw (non-magnetic steel) in the laboratory. Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) measurements at room temperature (RT-AMS) were conducted at the Magnetic Fabrics Laboratory of the University of Zaragoza, Spain, using a Kappabridge KLY-3S (AGICO Inc.). 2. Methods for processing the data: The susceptibility tensor was calculated, including statistical confidence angles (e12, e13, e21, etc…), with the software SUSAR (AGICO Inc.). The AMS values for all specimens from each site were processed and represented using the software Anisoft 5.1.03. 3. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret/reproduce the data, please indicate their location: Kappabridge KLY-3S, software: SUSAR, Anisoft 5.1.03 4. Standards and calibration information, if appropriate: Standard specimens dimensions: 2.1 cm-long, 2.5 cm-diameter for the standard cylinder specimens. 5. Environmental/experimental conditions: AMS measurements at room temperature. 6. Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data: 7.
