Vegetation survey data and field spectral libraries from fen peatlands in north-east Germany (2023-2024)
收藏资源简介:
This data set includes vegetation surveys and three spectral libraries from a rewetted fen peatland in north east Germany conducted within the Project "ReWetSpecs", funded by the German Space Agency at DLR with resources from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (grant number 50EE2234A) . The vegetation surveys were conducted in June and September 2023, each spanning 1-2 weeks. Of 65 plots, 4 meters x 4 meters, the fraction cover of all species were noted in % for the ranges: 0, 1-3, 3-5, 5-10, 10-15, 15-25, 25-35, 35-45, 45-50, 50-55, 55-65, 65-75, 75-85, 85-95, 95-100. The spectral library "asd_species.gpkg" contains 327 averaged spectra for 16 species, for 21 of the vegetation plots (see vegetation surveys) and for Water and NPV (non-photosynthetically active vegetation) from 21 field days during the growing seasons in 2023 and 2024. The spectral library "asd_hyplant.gpkg" contains in total 160 spectra, of which 80 spectra were sampled in the field (ASD) and the remaining 80 spectra represent the corresponding pixel spectra of airborne hyperspectral HyPlant data at the ASD locations on 27 and 28 August 2024. The spectral library "enmap.gpkg" contains 100 pixel spectra of multidate EnMAP imagery (5 acquisition days during 2023-2025) and the five dominant fen peatland species (Phragmites australis, Typha latifolia, Carex acuta, C. riparia, and Phalaris arundinacea). Please find the metadata in the corresponding readme.txt files. We thank the student collaborators Malin Stephan, Amelie Lucks, Enna Drege, Gerit Neuenschwander, Carla Prüfer, Elisabeth Bohl, and the collegues Arasumani Muthusamy, Cody Watzig and Nik Ojdanič for their help in fieldwork and validation data generation and Viet-Duc Nguyen, Bernd Bobertz, Jörg Hartleib, Manuel Reese, Matthias Naumann, and Robert Jackisch for acquiring and processing UAV imagery.
