Auroral Spectral Dataset Obtained by the Meridian Imaging Svalbard Spectrograph 2 During the 2025 New Year's Day Storm
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was obtained using the Meridian Imaging Svalbard Spectrograph 2 (MISS2) at the Kjell Henriksen Observatory (78.1°N, 16.0°E) during the 2025 New Year’s Day storm. It contains two types of auroral spectral data: dynamic spectra in time–wavelength sections and magnetic north–south keograms at 427.8 nm, 486.1 nm, and 630.0 nm for three specific time intervals. Filenames Time interval (YYYY.MM.DD hh:mm - hh:mm) Data values MISS2_20241231_1630-1650_spectra_mag_zenith.nc 2024.12.31 16:30 - 16:50 Dynamic spectrum in time–wavlength sections MISS2_20241231_1630-1650_keo_ns.nc 2024.12.31 16:30 - 16:50 Magnetic north–south keograms (427.8 nm, 486.1 nm, and 630.0 nm) MISS2_20250101_0600-0900_spectra_mag_zenith.nc 2025.01.01 06:00 - 09:00 Dynamic spectrum in time–wavlength sections MISS2_20250101_0600-0900_keo_ns.nc 2025.01.01 06:00 - 09:00 Magnetic north–south keograms (427.8 nm, 486.1 nm, and 630.0 nm) MISS2_20250101_1700-1900_spectra_mag_zenith.nc 2025.01.01 17:00 - 19:00 Dynamic spectrum in time–wavlength sections MISS2_20250101_1700-1900_keo_ns.nc 2025.01.01 17:00 - 19:00 Magnetic north–south keograms (427.8 nm, 486.1 nm, and 630.0 nm) It sould be noted that the absolute sensitivity of the MISS2 for this period was not calibrated. Therefore, the data values in the files are given in arbitrary units corresponding to brightness per wavelength. In addition, because only a part of the MISS field of view was calibrated for this period, the latitudinal range of the data is limited to the vicinity of the zenith.
