资源简介:
Not all patients with severe aortic valve stenosis benefit from Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). Especially frail patients, with low resilience due to low muscle mass or muscle quality may be at risk of mortality, despite a technically successful procedure.
Aim of this study is to determine if automatically assessed muscle mass and muscle quality are associated with long-term mortality after TAVI.
The study had an observation design. Including 1405 patients with servere aortic stenosis undergoing TAVI, from January 2010 until January 2020. With the deep-learning software of Quantib (research.quantib.com) muscle area, average density of muscle area in Hounsfield Units and Intermuscular Adipose Tissue was determined. Patients were followed for approximately 5-year.
1. Data of study
Because of the sensitive nature of the data, the data is confidential and will be shared only under strict conditions.
