Zea mays Transcriptome or Gene expression

We identified an endosperm-specific, non-canonical DELLA protein (ZmGRAS11) that lacks the DELLA domain but promotes cell expansion independent of gibberellin signals. The zmgras11 mutants showed a normal grain filling but a delayed cell expanding process, thereby resulting in a reduced kernel size and weight. To dissect the downstream regulatory network of ZmGRAS11, we performed transcriptome deep sequencing (RNA-seq) of wild-type and zmgras11-C endosperms at 18 DAP (day after pollination).
