NRS-14553 | Salary registers

These registers record both the service history and salaries of officers employed by the Commission. Although the format of the registers changes from multiple entries per page to single entries per page (self indexing) the level of information is consistent, providing good detail in respect of employment, promotions and salaries. The registers for the periods 1914-18 and 1939-45 contain a record of each officer's war service, providing such details as: date of enlistment; regiment; rank and service number; when promoted; when discharged and where applicable, if posted missing or killed in action. The registers provide the following details for all officers: name; date of birth; date of appointment and position; salary and allowances paid; leave granted and notes relating to previous employment and qualifications. The dates of birth of the respective officer's children are also recorded. (7/16830-41). 12 vols.
