This dataset gives information on sardine (Sardina pilchardus) eggs and larval abundances, integrated through the water column, in the southern Catalan coast in February 1997. Sardina pilchardus eggs and larvae were mainly present over the broad portion of the shelf south of the Ebro River delta. The main concentrations of both eggs and larvae were found between the 70 to 100 m isobaths
