We evaluated the feasibility, quality, and analytical performance of RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) on clinical formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumor samples especially for gene fusion detection. To assess the performance of our pipeline for identifying gene fusions, RNA sequencing was performed on five commercial cancer cell lines.
