资源简介:
The Umkehr technique was developed by Götz et al. (1934) to study the distribution of ozone in the atmosphere. The technique relies on the zenith sky measurements made in the Solar spectrum strongly absorbed by ozone and referenced to the spectral region without ozone absorption. The measurements are taken continuously while the sun is rising or setting. The data are collected by both Dobson and Brewer Spectrophotometers. The method for ozone profile retrieval is based on the optimal optimization method (Petropavlovksikh et al, 2005 and references therein). The data files here are Monthly means of the Umkehr profiles at four Dobson ozone spectrophotometer sites within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Dobson Network: Boulder, Colorado (BDR), Lauder, New Zealand (LDR), Mauna Loa, Hawaii (MLO), and Haute Provance, France (OHP). The Umkehr profiles have been optimized to remove the step changes in the archived data due to instrumental changes.
