Base de Datos Cirugías Oftalmológicas en Sistema de Salud Público Chileno Período 2021-2022

There is a bulky waiting list for ophthalmologic clinical care and surgery in Chile. Knowledge of how the system works is required to improve health strategies. There is no open-access national registry of ophthalmological surgeries done in the Chilean public health system.  We asked for information concerning the ophthalmological surgical production in the Chilean public health system in 2021 and 2022 through Portal de Transparencia and created this database with that information. The surgical production registries provide knowledge on how the health system works. This information allows decision making based on capacity and efficiency of the public health system.
