Spatial dataset for ecological niche and spatial distribution modeling of Cualac tessellatus (Cyprinodontiformes: Cyprinodontidae) in the Media Luna spring, Mexico

Dataset for the checkered pupfish Cualac tessellatus in the Media Luna spring, Mexico. This data includes occurrences records by life stage (adult, juvenile and fry), in three field sessions corresponding to the summer period of the years 1999, 2009, and 2019. The database for the summer period in 1999 was obtained and filtered from Palacio-Núñez et al. (2010). Whereas, the databases for the summer period of 2009 and 2019 were recorded from field work. They are presented for Longitude (X) and Latitude (Y) under the WGS84 / Pseudo-Mercator projection (EPSG: 3857) in decimal degrees. The location of each individual, by life stage, was recorded through field notes and GPS. Likewise, this dataset can be used to run the ecological niche and spatial distribution models, by summer period.
