资源简介:
Introduction: Dysbiosis is a common feature in IBD suggesting an important role of intestinal bacteria for disease pathogenesis. Higher vitamin D levels seem to have a beneficial effect on the disease course in IBD. Previous studies have implicated a role of vitamin D on the intestinal bacterial composition, however, prospective studies are missing. Material and Methods: Here we perform a prospective controlled study in seven patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and ten healthy controls (HC) and analyzed changes of the intestinal bacterial composition under vitamin D substitution using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing.
