Spatial prediction map of tree species richness in the Yucatán Peninsula derived from Sentinel-2 and ALOS-2/PALSAR-2 imagery
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains a spatially explicit prediction map of tree taxonomic richness (Hill number q0) across the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. The map was generated by integrating field data from the Mexican National Forest and Soils Inventory (INFyS) with remote sensing predictors derived from Sentinel satellite imagery and ALOS-2/PALSAR-2 radar backscatter data acquired between 2015 and 2020. Spectral variables, vegetation indices, and radar backscatter metrics were used as predictors in statistical models calibrated with 1-ha forest plots. The calibrated model was spatially extrapolated to produce a continuous prediction surface. The final product is provided as a GeoTIFF raster at 10 m spatial resolution (geographic coordinate system WGS 84, EPSG:4326). Coordinate reference system: WGS 84 (EPSG:4326)Spatial resolution: 10 mTemporal coverage of remote sensing inputs: 2015–2019 This dataset will be made available upon publication of the associated article.
