The genomic data of Bacillus atrophaeus DJHJ8 beloning to the family bacillaceae of the phylum Firmicutes, were obtained using the MiSeq platform. The draft genome of Bacillus atrophaeus DJHJ8 contains 4,120,076bp. Detailed genomic analyses and comparative studies with other bacillus genomes will give further information and insight into the metabolism of bacillus species.
