Multivariate analysis of resistance to fipronil. Bombyx mori strain:N15 and N44

Because no distinct mono factor of resistance was observed in the back crossed progenies of the resistant silkworm strains, contribution of multi- factors to the resistance to DDT and sumithion was implicated though none of them were elucidated to date. We presumed that resistance to fipronil would apply some of these factors pooled in the silkworm, and so we evaluated the resistance of the silkworm to fipronil in this study. One fipronil susceptible and resistant strains were selected and their back crossed progenies were made to study the genomic background of the fipronil resistance by genomic DNA-Seq and mRNA-Seq for multivariate analysis of resistance to fipronil.
