Whole genome re-sequencing of Chenopodium quinoa inbred lines

We have generated 136 inbred quinoa lines as a basis for the molecular identification and characterization of gene functions in quinoa through genotyping and phenotyping and have shown that the lines fall into three genetic subpopulations that is northern and southern highland and lowland (Mizuno et al., 2020). In this study, whole genome re-sequencing was performed on the inbred lines whose genotypes consisted only of the genetic background of the sub-population. The data can be utilized as a basis for elucidating the molecular biology and genetic improvement of quinoa, as well as for a more comprehensive understanding of the evolutionary processes underlying the domestication of quinoa.
