Arabidopsis grown in a plastic pot was used to investigate the kanamycin phytotoxicity to seedling growth. The seedlings was irrigated with solution of different kanamycin concentration. After ten days in treatment, the gene expression profiles was conducted to compare the pattern of antibiotics-induced genes. Arabidopsis seeds grew in a plastic pot at 23 °C and 60% humidity condition. After 21 days, the seedlings was irrigated with 0, 350, 700 and 1400 mg/L kanamycin solution. The treatments sustained ten days, and then the 4-week-old seedlings were selected to extract total RNAs from pooled leaf tissue from a mixture of all the 12 plants in a pot. The gene expression profiles was conducted by single-color microarrays in Agilent Bioanalyzer.
