Qualitative User Feedback on 2D Screen vs. Tablet Augmented Reality Design Systems in Architectural Renovation Workflows

This dataset contains qualitative, open-ended survey responses in .csv file format from a study comparing the usability and user experience of a traditional 2D screen-based design system against a tablet-based Augmented Reality (AR) design system. The study focused on their application in iterative architectural renovation design tasks. A total of 32 participants performed a kitchen renovation design task using both interfaces in a counterbalanced order. Following the use of each system, participants provided detailed feedback on their experience, including initial impressions, usability challenges, aspects that felt natural or awkward, and effects on their creative process. This dataset compiles their written responses, offering rich, contextual insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each interface from the user's perspective.
