TAMARA AFANASYEVNA POPOVICH – A LEGEND OF UZBEK PIANO PEDAGOGY SKETCHES FOR THE PORTRAIT OF AN OUTSTANDING TEACHER

This article is devoted to the outstanding music educator of Uzbekistan, Honored Teacher of Uzbekistan, Honorary Professor of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan Tamara Popovich. T. Popovich is one of the brightest representatives of the Uzbek piano school, whose class produced a whole galaxy of talented pianists representing Uzbekistan’s musical culture on the world’s leading stages. For more than 30 years, she headed the Special Piano Department at the Uspensky Specialized Music School, where, under her leadership, the level of pianist training met the standards of the world’s best specialized music institutions.
