A mechanistic basis for genetic assimilation in natural fly populations

RNA-sequencing polyA library preparation in wing discs (WD) and pupal wings (PW) from inbred (D907) and outbred (Mix) fly populations from lines selected for the ectopic veins trait under genetic assimilation (assimilated) or direct artificial selection under normal conditions (non-assimilated) and unselected (control) flies. Overall design: RNA-seq libraries were prepared from third instar larval wing imaginal discs and pupal wings (24-27h APF) of female individuals of the D907 and Mix lines.
