Coral community structure and disease prevalence of Coconut Island, Hawaii in 2011

In the summer of 2011, 800m^2 of reef surrounding Coconut Island, was surveyed for coral community structure and coral disease prevalence. The specific aim of this research was to determine how coral community structure was impacted by monospecific disease outbreaks (Montipora White Syndrome) that occurred in years after 2006. Surveys were conducted from July-August at eight established transects surrounding Coconut Island, Hawaii. Included in this repository are the raw data gathered from nine point-intercept benthic surveys and 40 10mx2m belt transects.
