LFW (Labled Faces in the Wild)人脸数据集

LFW (Labeled Faces in the Wild)

Face Dataset; The LFW dataset consists of 13,233 face images, each associated with the corresponding person's name, covering a total of 5,749 individuals, with the vast majority of individuals having only one image. Each image has a resolution of 250×250, most of which are color images, though a small number of black-and-white face images are also included. The provided face images are sourced from real-world natural scenes, which increases the difficulty of recognition. Specifically, factors such as varying poses, lighting conditions, expressions, ages, and occlusions lead to substantial differences between images of the same person. Additionally, some photos may contain multiple faces; for these multi-face images, only the face located at the central coordinates is selected as the target, while other regions are treated as background interference.

The LFW dataset consists of 13,233 face images, each associated with the corresponding person's name, covering 5,749 individuals, with the vast majority of individuals having only one image. During the testing process, the system is presented with a pair of images and asked to determine whether the two photos depict the same person, responding with either "yes" or "no". The face recognition accuracy can be calculated by comparing the system's responses with the ground truth across all 6,000 image pairs.

Application Scenario: Face Recognition
