Single-cell mulitome (paired scRNA-seq + scATAC-seq) analysis of PBMCs from infants and young children during COVID-19 infection

Purpose: To understand the single cell transcriptional and epigenetic landscape of immune cells from infants and young children infected with COVID-19 Overall design: PBMCs from infants and young children (aged 1-24 months) collected before (n=9), during (n=18), and after (n=9) COVID-19 infection (omicron and pre-omicron) as well as age- and sex-matched healthy controls (n=7) were analyzed using the 10X genomics single-cell multiome assay. Pre, acute, and convalescent samples from non-omicron infection are longitudinally collected from the same subjects.
