Expression profiles of miRNA and miRNA-target gene networks in rabbit lung after challenge with Pasteurella multocida

The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor (NLR) pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a cytosolic multimolecular complex that assembled in response to the broadest array of microbe insults. To obtain more insight into the basic structure and function of the rabbit NLRP3 (rNLRP3) gene, we cloned and characterized a 4013 bp full-length rNLRP3 cDNA from a New Zealand rabbit liver, which encodes a protein of 1046 amino acids (AA). The rabbit gene owned five functional domains that are conserved in other mammals and shared the closest genetic evolutionary distance with Ochotona princeps. rNLRP3 was expressed ubiquitously in various tissues to varying degrees. It was most expressed in the spleen and least expressed in the muscle.
