Dataset for mangrove deadwood in Kenya

Nine mangrove species are found in Kenya following a zonation pattern described in the National Mangrove Ecosystem Management Plan for Kenya (GoK 2017) and the "Mangroves of the Western Indian Ocean: Management and Status" (Bosire et al 2016). The dataset presents standing dead wood in the mangroves of Lamu, Mombasa and Tana River Counties in Kenya. It was collected between 2015 and 2020 following the "Protocols for the measurement, monitoring and reporting of structure, biomass and carbon stocks in mangrove forests", by Kauffman and Donato (2012).
