For the most recent DHS or MIS survey available in each country, the proportion of households with at least 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 usual residents was calculated, for each region or province. These represent the proportion of households that would be prevented from receiving 1 ITN for 2 people if caps are set during mass ITN campaigns at 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 ITNs, respectively. Programme planners may wish to consult these tables when considering setting caps for each region where ITNs will be distributed. This assumes that the definition of a ‘household’ remains the same during the campaign as in the surveys, generally ‘people eating from the same pot’.
