Estimating land-based pollution sources and loadings to nearshore coral reefs in southeast Florida: a multiscale modeling approach (Mean monthly analyte concentrations)
收藏资源简介:
Additional data from Dobbelaere, T., Williams, G. J., Whitall, D., Aeby, G. S., Walker, B. K., & Hanert, E. (2026). Estimating land-based pollution sources and loadings to nearshore coral reefs in southeast Florida: a multiscale modeling approach. Submitted. This repository contains shp files of mean monthly analyte concentrations on an unstructured grid between September 2018 and December 2021. Seven analytes are considered: nitrite, nitrate, total nitrogen, orthophosphate, total phosphorus, silicate, and total suspended solids (TSS). These analytes were released from four inlets in Southeast Florida: Government Cut, Baker’s Haulover, Port Everglades, and Hillsboro. Analyte concentrations at the inlet were reconstructed based on streamflow data from DBHydro monitoring stations and and water quality data from a joint NOAA-Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) assessment program. Inland wastewater plumes were simulated as passive tracers using the 2D multi-scale ocean model SLIM (https://www.slim-ocean.be/).
