Cross-evaluation of PIT-tags and software-assisted photo-identification for the Common slow worm (Anguis fragilis)

This dataset comprises 4 files related to a 2 year monitoring of Anguis fragilis in France. This data was used to evaluate the efficacy of PIT-tags and photo-identification on the species. AnguisMarkingMethodData_NumberofIndividuals.csv includes data on the number of individuals marked and the recapture rates with each method AnguisMarkingMethodData_PhotoID.csv includes the data on the recognition rate of Hotspotter (a photo-ID software) for each recapture event of monitored individuals AnguisMarkingMethodData_Recaptures.csv includes the monitoring durations, number of captures and other relevant information for all recaptured individuals AnguisMarkingMethodData_Recaptures.csv includes data on recognition for individuals depending on their shedding status when they were photographed
