资源简介:
Samples from features at several sites on the Sanchez Copper Data Recovery Project area in southeastern Arizona were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. In addition, two stone knives with fibrous plant materials adhering to them were submitted to identify the type of fibers present. These knives are believed to have been used for slicing agave. Features sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains include roasting pits, hearths, waffle gardens, rock piles, and rock rings. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide prehistoric subsistence information, and possibly to help identify the function of the rock piles found at the site.
