Fluoroquinolone resistance gene dataset retrieved from NCBI Pathogen Detection Isolate Browser

This dataset contains fluoroquinolone-resistant (FqR) bacterial isolate information retrieved from the NCBI Pathogen Detection Isolate Browser (accessed October 9, 2023). The dataset is organized into nine sheets corresponding to predefined Boolean combinations of target-mediated FqR determinants: A – gyrA*; B – gyrB*; C – gyrA* AND gyrB*; D – parC*; E – parE*; F – parC* AND parE*; G - gyr* AND par*; H - gyr*; I - par*. Each sheet includes a large number of isolates (average >210,000 entries per sheet), enabling comprehensive characterization of mutation patterns across diverse bacterial taxa. The columns “AMR genotypes core” and “AMR genotypes” report antimicrobial resistance determinants identified using the AMRFinderPlus pipeline, including both quinolone resistance–determining region (QRDR) substitutions and complete resistance genes. This dataset supports global-scale analysis of target-mediated fluoroquinolone resistance evolution and distribution.
