Seismic Events Recorded by A Distributed Acoustic Sensing Array Near Utqiaġvik, Alaska (2022-2023)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes three seismic events recorded by an approximately 2 km (kilometers) distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) array near Utqiaġvik, Alaska. It includes data from January 2022 and January and February 2023. The data capture naturally occurring cryoseismic events and support passive surface-wave analysis for subsurface permafrost characterization. The data were recorded by a Terra15 Treble interrogator and are provided in HDF5 format with metadata. The dataset is stored as a 2D (two-dimensional) matrix with time and space axes and is provided in velocity form; strain-rate data can be obtained using the processing routine described in the Methods section. The files can be opened using DASCore library (https://www.dascore.org) or HDF5Viewer software (https://www.hdfgroup.org/download-hdfview/).
