资源简介:
Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas is a typical indirect developer. Settlement and metamorphosis was induced by proper environment, chemicals, or biofilm. Some neurotransmitters, such as epinephrine can induce direct metamorphosis of pediveliger, and has thus been successfully used to produce cultchless oyster in hatcheries. As oyster settlement and metamorphosis is quick and usually nonsynchronous, it is hard to collect transitioning samples real time. Epinephrine induced pediveligers provided good model to study the GRN during metamorphosis stage. We collected both epinephrine induced samples and naturally attached (indicating successful settlement and metamorphosis) samples to conduct transcriptome and proteomics studies. In this way, the GRN complexity of the transition stage was revealed by comparing genes expression patterns before and post metamorphosis.
