SEM images of WC-Co cemented carbides with reference WC grain segmentation

Example data accompanying the GrainSegmentation software (https://github.com/lizaconst/GrainSegmentation) for unsupervised segmentation of WC grains in backscattered-electron SEM images of WC-Co cemented carbides. The dataset contains one SEM image for each of five commercial WC-Co grades (Ultra_Co6_2, Ultra_Co8, Ultra_Co11, Ultra_Co15, Ultra_Co25) and the reference segmentation of these images produced by the pipeline version used in the accompanying paper. Contents:- images/<Grade>/<stem>.png — original SEM images (TESCAN);- reference_output/<Grade>/<stem>_resplit.json — final WC grain polygons, pixel coordinates;- reference_output/<Grade>/<stem>_resplit_cuts.json — cut chords applied to merged grains;- reference_output/<Grade>/<stem>_resplit_stats.json — pipeline parameters and per-image attrition statistics;- reference_output/<Grade>/<stem>_resplit_viz.png — grain contours and cuts over the image. Running pipeline.py on these images and compare_reference.py against reference_output reproduces the reference segmentation exactly (2670 grains in total). The full image set is owned by the experimental group and is not public.
