VPRS 427 Index to Inward Correspondence

This series consists of indexes, which control the inward correspondence in VPRS 425. Once a registration number had been allocated to an item of inward correspondence (from VPRS 429), and recorded on the item of correspondence, the entry in the Register of Inward Correspondence was indexed in VPRS 427.Entries were indexed under the relevant alphabetical tag, by the surname of the sender, or the name of the government department (eg Lands) or the position of the sender (eg Secretary for Railways), and also by subject (eg Tenders).
