The Australian Education Council comprised the State and Federal ministers of education and maintained close liaison with the Standing Committee of the Australian Education Council, which comprised the State Directors of Education (alternatively called the Conference of State Directors or Directors-General Conference). The series includes published minutes, reports and information collated by the State Education Departments, and reports and comments on the resolutions passed by the Council. 1936-37, 1940, 1943, 1945, 1947-48, 1950, 1952 (19/8217-20). 4 boxes.
