European Parliamentary Election in Denmark 1979, II

The study examines the first direct European parliamentary election, which was held on 7 June, 1979 in Denmark. Among other things the respondents are asked whether they would vote in favour of or against the EC at a hypothetical referendum on the day of the interview. The study also examines the respondents' interest in the election campaign and attitudes to the election programmes on TV; the respondents' attitudes to the EC in general and to European integration; and, finally, the respondents' attitudes to a number of political, economic and other statements. #In addition, the study includes the usual background variables from the Danish Gallup Institute's omnibus surveys, a large number of which deal with newspaper and magazine reading habits, as well as background variables from the Eurobarometer series
