Emulating isomerization with two-dimensional Coulomb crystals
收藏资源简介:
image_1p07.tif, image_1p18.tif, image_1p20.tif, image_1p21.tif, and image_1p24.tif are the tif images of 6 Barium 138 ions trapped in two-dimensional confinement with trap aspect ratio 1.07, 1.18, 1.20, 1.21 and 1.24 respectively. The images are taken with the exposure time of 1 s. pes_fig1a_1p07.csv, pes_fig1a_1p18, pes_fig1a_1p20, pes_fig1a_1p21, and pes_fig1a_1p24 contains the data on the potential energy surface (PES) corresponding to the five tif images in the same order. PES are obtained with Monte Carlo simulations. The values in the first row is the distance of one ion in a Coulomb crystal from trap center. Second column shows the energy on the potential energy surface normalized with the Boltzmann constant and in the unit of mK. fig1b_Vhex.csv and fig1b_Vpen.csv shows the energies of the Coulomb crystal of 6 ions configured in two different ways obtained with Monte Carlo simulations. The first row (alpha) corresponds to the trap aspect ratio and the second row corresponds to the energy of the system with respect to the lowest energy configuration. pes_fig1c.csv contains the data on the PES of 6 ions in a two-dimensional harmonic potential with trap frequencies 100 kHz and 120 kHz. tdc_data_zip.zip contains all the experimental raw data. Each data set corresponds to the value of alpha reported in the table data_experiment_2. In each raw data csv file, the time arrival of each photon is reported (units: seconds). Each run is 5 seconds long. The first 1.25 seconds are only for cooling and checking the number of ions. Starting from 1.25 seconds, 74 identical sequences are performed. Each sequence is formed by: 20ms at alpha=1.12 --> ramp from alpha=1.12 to alpha1 --> 20ms at alpha=alpha1 --> ramp back to alpha=1.12. The time of the ramp is variable, as the slope is kept constant. The specific duration of each sequence is in the table data_experiment_2 Fig3_probabilities.csv contains the experimental data of Figure 3 Fig4_inset.csv contains the experimental data of the inset of Figure 4 fig4.csv contains the experimental data of Figure 4
