Adaptive loci and multigenerational OA in the Bay scallop

Envriomental change may outpace the rate of evolution. Undetstanding the capacity for economic species to rapidly adapt to change can greatly improve fisheries management and secure a viable blue economy. We experimentally produced adult northern bay scallops, Argopecten irradians, with three pCO2 lineages. Adult broodstock and their juvenile offspring were destrucively sampled for low-coverage whole genome sequencing across three generations of conintuous OA conditions in the laboratory.
