"K & D of T, June 21st 1914, L. A., Cal.," by Northern Photo Company, San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, California, USA, 1914 June 21. The image shows about seventy black women and one black man posed in front of a Romanesque-style building, perhaps a church. The women wear costumes that include such items as white gloves, crowns, sashes, medals, staffs, and other regalia. The man wears a three-piece darfk suit and what looks like a uniform cap. On the ground in front of the group is a symbolic item with an inscription that is "New Beulah / Tabernacle/ AD 43." While the matte has corner losses and edge wear, the image is basically clean and the condition is good.
