Empirical corpus of official documents on international law-based and rules-based international order

This dataset contains 40 public official documents used as the empirical corpus for the article International Law- or Rules-Based International Order? The Politics of International Law in Comparative Perspective. The corpus includes official statements, strategic documents, declarations, communiques, position papers, reports and parliamentary debate materials by states, groups of states, international organisations and institutions.The documents are used to compare how actors frame the international law-based order (ILBO), the rules-based international order (RBO), multilateralism, the United Nations Charter, sovereignty, governance reform, enforcement and distributive justice. The dataset includes document-level metadata, Chicago 17 references, qualitative framework coding, source URLs and SHA-256 checksums.This dataset is the result of research conducted within the Research Programme Group “Slovenia and Its Actors in International Relations and European Integration” (P5-0177), financed by ARIS – Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency.
