资源简介:
BIRUG 19250 is a specimen of *Hyotissa hyotis*, commonly known as the giant honeycomb oyster. The common name of this group of oysters – 'honeycomb' or 'foam' oysters – refers to the structure of their shell when viewed under magnification, being similar to honeycomb or foam. This marine bivalve, like many others is a filter feeder and is found in the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, off the coast of Colombia, the Red Sea and some coastal parts of eastern Africa, including Madagascar. This specimen is part of the Holcroft Collection and was digitised by Sian Miller, using an Artec Spider 3D scanner. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
