中国1：400万土壤粉砂含量分布图（1980s)是土壤物理属性空间分布图之一，是表达土壤物理属性在空间上分布规律及其数量特征的一种专题地图，是在农林牧副业生产以及环境保护上具有重要意义的农业工程图件。
此数据集是在中国科学院南京土壤研究所建立的“中国1：100万土壤数据库”的基础上，通过对土壤物理属性类型划分，利用GIS空间数据融合技术，综合生成了6类型属性分布图,分别是：土壤粗砂含量分布图、土壤细砂含量分布图、土壤粉砂含量分布图、土壤粘粒含量分布图、土壤田间持水量分布图、土壤凋萎系数分布图。

The 1:4,000,000 Scale Silt Content Distribution Map of Soil (1980s) is one of the spatial distribution maps of soil physical properties. It is a thematic map that describes the spatial distribution patterns and quantitative characteristics of soil physical properties, and is an important agricultural engineering drawing for agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline production and environmental protection.

This dataset is developed based on the "1:1,000,000 Scale Soil Database of China" established by the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through the classification of soil physical property types and the application of GIS spatial data fusion technology, six types of attribute distribution maps are comprehensively generated, which are: Coarse Sand Content Distribution Map of Soil, Fine Sand Content Distribution Map of Soil, Silt Content Distribution Map of Soil, Clay Content Distribution Map of Soil, Field Capacity Distribution Map of Soil, and Wilting Coefficient Distribution Map of Soil.
