\n\nThe ASRIS Lithology dataset presents lithology (as soil parent material) in 23\nclasses interpreted from geological information in the source datasets.The\nlithology classes were chosen as being of signficance for soil formation and\nrelate mainly to chemical composition. It is designed for use at a scale of\n1:250,000 to 1:1 million.Data are presented as a grid with cells 0.0025\ndegrees of latitude and longitude.The digital map data is provided in\ngeographical coordinates based on the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84)\ndatum.
