Efficient valorisation of wheat straw hemicellulose hydrolysate via niche-partitioning and acetic acid auxotrophy in Escherichia coli

Engineering of Escherichia coli for the efficient valorisation of the hemicellulose fraction of lignocellulosic hydrolysates. Engineered strains were evolved twice during adaptive laboratory evolution experiments to improve growth performance. Results of whole genome sequencing after ALE are deposited here.
