Transcriptome analysis of true leaves of parsley

Transcriptome of young true leaves of parsley (Petroselinum crispum) was analyzed by RNA sequencing. The seeds were sown and grown on a soil mixture [a 1:1 mixture of Metro-Mix (Sun Gro Horticulture, Agawam, OH) and vermiculite] at 22 degree C under a photoperiod of 16 hours light and 8 hours darkness, with a light intensity of 132 micromol m-2 s-1. Total RNA was isolated from true leaves of parsley using RNeasy plus mini kit (Qiagen).
