Skin microbiota in dialysis patients

Hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) are susceptible to infection and dysbiosis. The catheter- related infection is usually caused by skin opportunistic pathogen. Here we aim to compare changes of the exit site skin microbiota around tunneled-cuffed catheters (peri-catheter group) and contralateral site (control group).
