The project aims to profile the community composition, estimate diversity and annotate functions of the sediment microbes of the gravel bars along the main channel of Trinity River, CA, USA undergoing restoration and explore the correlation between the microbial structure and different environmental variables via next-generation sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene amplicons (V4 hypervariable region).
