NSW Child Death Review Team Report 2015

This report concerns 504 children whose deaths were registered in NSW in 2015. The rate of child deaths in 2015 – 29.61 deaths per 100,000 children. This is the lowest annual rate recorded by the Child Death Review Team since the team was established in 1996.\r\n\r\nThe Pepi-Pod® sleep device mentioned on page 58 of this report is a key component of the Pepi-Pod® program which has been trademarked to protect its integrity. The program incorporates safe sleep education, a family undertaking to use and spread safe infant sleeping messages amongst their social network and follow-up with a health professional.\r\n
