Comparison of samples collected nearshore and offshore from southern Lake Michigan to determine if there was bacterial contamination from the Grand Calumet River, a highly urbanized aquatic ecosystem, and to determine if there were correlations of between pathogens/feces associated bacteria in any of the samples. Effective restoration of biologically contaminated requires sources identification to implement remediation strategies.
