In May 2019 (high water period), July 2019 (high water period), October 2019 (low water period) and January 2020 (low water period), zooplankton samples were collected from seven different habitats in Poyang Lake. To collecting Zooplankton samples, 20 litres of water was collected from 50 cm to surface and 100 cm to bottom, then used size 25 plankton net filter the water and collection, 3 repeats per sample to restore with 5% formaldehyde for morphological identification, 1 repeat sample stored in 95% ethanol, used for DNA extraction.
